? Firstly consume green leafy vegetables, fish, legumes and lentils to that the iron and protein deficiencies in the body is addressed.
? A multivitamin supplement and zinc tonic will speed up the body’s natural production of hair.
? It is advisable to avoid aggressive hair styling treatments like perming, curling, permanent straightening, braiding, dread locks, crimping and back combing.
? Always shampoo and rinse the hair with gentle hands to avoid breakage of the follicles when wet.
? After the shampooing, apply a good quality conditioner to smoothen the tips of the hair and prevent further damage due to split ends.
? As far as possible, dry the hair in a gentle manner and never comb wet hair.
? Let the wet hair dry out naturally or use a hair dryer albeit at a little distance from the scalp to avoid scalding.
? Leave hair open as far as possible and steer clear of braids, clips, elastic bands and sharp pins which tug at the hair and cause breakage and headaches.
? Protect the hair by venturing in the cold, sun and windy weather with a hat, scarf or parasol.
These simple suggestions could go a long way in ensuring that the rate of hair fall is arrested while promoting the health of the remaining hairs.
