Herbal remedies for hair loss
Hair loss on the scalp is due to the many reasons like excessive use of hair styling products, dandruff attack, parasitic infections, improper managing of hair, irritation of the scalp, excessive secretion of the sebum from the sebaceous glands.
The following are the herbal remedies to prevent hair thinning and loss of hair from the scalp; they are,
Jojoba oil: This is one of the essential oils that act by providing the nutrients to the hair follicles. Jojoba oil is semi solid in nature at room temperature; it should be boiled for few minutes before use. The warm oil should be massaged on the scalp in all directions; the hair should be left for about 2-3 hours. Then the scalp and hair should be washed with a mild herbal shampoo and conditioner.
Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera gels, or extract can be directly applied to the scalp; this balances the pH levels of the scalp, soothes, and heals the scalp. This Aloe Vera extract can be mixed with coconut milk, wheat germ oil. This may even enrich the hair follicles with good nutrition.
Fenugreek: Fenugreek powder mixed with yogurt; and made into a paste; as it acts as a natural conditioner. This paste should be applied on the scalp with the help of brush. Then the scalp must be covered with a shower cap for about 4 hours. Then wash the hair using a mild herbal shampoo.
Amla Powder: This treats hair loss problems especially on the scalp. Amla is called as hair tonic, extract of lemon can be added if necessary.
